Water Infrastructure Expansion to Meet Growing Needs

As Mont Belvieu continues to grow, city officials are taking steps to improve water distribution. With water production shifting toward the north side of town, additional north-to-south waterlines are needed to support demand.

City engineers and public works teams have identified a new 12-inch waterline project along SH-99, stretching approximately 8,500 feet between Langston Blvd. and FM-565. This project will improve water supply to the southern part of the city and along SH-146. The work will include installing fire hydrants, gate valves, and air release valves while allowing for future connections along the route. The estimated cost for surveying, design, bidding, and construction services is $273,200.

Cobb, Fendley & Associates to Assist with Inspection Services

Due to increased residential development and capital projects, Mont Belvieu officials are expanding inspection services. Cobb, Fendley & Associates, Inc. has submitted a proposal to help augment the city’s inspection capacity. This arrangement provides flexibility for city management, allowing them to adjust staffing levels as needed to keep up with growing infrastructure demands.

As Mont Belvieu continues its rapid development, these projects reflect the city's commitment to smart planning, reliable infrastructure, and effective governance. Residents can look forward to improvements that will support the community for years to come.
